Postgraduate Programs
The Department offers Postgraduate Research Degrees that include PhD, MA (Hons) and MSc (Hons). Postgraduate coursework degrees include a Master of Arts in Human Geography and a Graduate Diploma in GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
The Department also teaches in a number of other Masters coursework programs. These are the Sustainable Development Program offered by the Graduate School of the Environment and the Master of Policy and Applied Social Research offered by the Department of Sociology and the Master of Applied Anthropology.
Human Geography Postgraduate Courses focus on social impact analysis, globalisation and sustainability, environmental health and heritage and conservation. Individual units are outlined on the Human Geography units page.
Several Scholarships are available on a competative basis. Please refer to the Reasearch Office web site for more information.
