GEOGRAPHICAL SCALE is one of the foundational concepts of Geography, yet it remains a chaotic and poorly understood concept. Throughout the 1990s, Richie Howitt, along with Bob Fagan and Ron Horvath and others, have pursued a long debate and discussion about geographical scale.

This project is an open-ended, long term theoretical project. The purpose of this Home Page is to collect together materials and links to relevant sites to advance discussion of this concept.

An extensive bibliography of material dealing with geographical scale is included at this site. This bibliography is updated from time to time and additions and comments are welcomed.
